Programs and Services
One-time Programs
Health & Wellness
SPARC gives residents access to onsite health screenings and clinical services, through partnerships with hospitals, universities, and private entities.
Educational Programs and Workshops
Knowledge is the key to success and SPARC strives to empower our residents through educational programs. These events include seminars, resource fairs, smart phone training and safety training. When our residents leave these educational programs, they gain new solutions to day to day problems such as: how to create a Will, what is proper nutrition, what fraud scams are on the horizon, how to stay active, and much more. SPARC is always searching for new topics and professionals to teach them. If your organization is interested in being on one of our panels, please refer to the contact page for more information.
Home Safety and Repairs
SPARC partners with organizations that provide free and/or low cost home repairs. This ultimately improves the quality of life, health and safety of each resident.
At SPARC's weatherization and home repair events, homes receive repairs including, but not limited to, wheelchair ramps, yard clean up, ‘safe at home’ modifications and energy saving improvements.
Ongoing Programs
Food Banks
SPARC aims to help alleviate the financial burden of accessing healthy food and fresh produce for lower income residents. SPARC has partnered with non-profit and for-profit organizations and other direct food distribution programs by providing distribution points and communities with large target populations for their low income food programs. Having SPARC offer free food programs directly in the community insures that the maximum number of residents are served, including those who may be home bound.
Exercise Programs
SPARC provides a variety of different exercise programs that are available on site at little or no cost to the resident. The exercise classes range from chair yoga, tai chi, basic aerobics, strength training and balance. These programs are offered through partnerships with local gyms, government programs and private entities.
Holiday
SPARC's holiday season kicks off with Halloween and wraps up with Christmas. We provide a wide variety of programs that will assist our residents during this time of year. Some of these events include:
Halloween Safety - SPARC connects our residents with local police departments and other safety organizations to educate children and families on how to keep themselves and their pets safe on Halloween. These events not only feature safety information, but foster a sense of community through a themed party that includes crafts, games, treats, and costume contest giveaways.
Coat Giveaway - Each winter a few communities are selected to receive brand new children's winter coats donated by individuals, local department stores and other non-profits.
Senior Warm Kits - This program provides the necessary items for our seniors to stay warm and dry during the winter season. Items include: gloves, beanies, scarves, socks, and a lap blanket.
Gift Giving Program - SPARC links generous community members and organizations with our families and seniors who often need extra assistance during the holiday season.
New Year New Shoe - SPARC has partnered with Shoes That Fit, a non-profit, that helps us provide name brand new shoes for a fraction of the retail cost. These shoes are given to the low income children that reside in Millennium Housing communities.
SPARC Scholarships
SPARC recognizes the importance of education for all Americans. Unfortunately, the rising cost of higher education may prevent many lower income residents from attending college. To aid in their quest for higher learning SPARC instituted the SPARC Scholarship Program.
Who can apply?
• A graduating high school senior or a student currently enrolled in college or an extended education program
• Must be a full time resident of one of the communities we serve.
• Applicant must be between the ages of 17 and 25.
• Previous SPARC scholarship winners are also eligible to apply.
The SPARC 2024 Application Window will close August 1st, 2024.

Back to School
In order to help alleviate some of the back to school costs for our low-income families, SPARC provides school supplies for the students in selected mobilehome communities by hosting a free Back-to-School Event for school age children.
The school supplies given away include: backpacks, binders, paper, pens, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks and many other items needed to start a new school year. In addition to the basic supplies, SPARC partners with various entities to provide new clothing and other items to ensure school readiness. Check out our donations page to see how you can help support this program.
Resource Fair
Community Development Resource Fairs
SPARC hosts Resource Fairs as a fun and informative way of connecting residents to the many services that are available within their local community. An example of some participants at our resource fairs: community hospitals, government programs, local senior and/or youth centers, numerous other community based organizations.
